On February 20, 2025, the French parliament voted to pass relevant legislation, prohibiting the use of PFAS in the domestic market, mainly targeting cosmetics, textile products, etc. As of January 1, 2026, the production, release to the market, and import/export of cosmetics containing PFAS will be prohibited. The regulation does not disclose the specific list of all perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
